Coachflow vs Trainerize: The training, plus the parts Trainerize sells as add-ons.
Trainerize is the app plenty of coaches start on, and its programme builder, habits and messaging are solid. Payments, the CRM, the meal planner and recipes are add-ons on top of the plan. In Coachflow they come with every plan, along with programmes that progress themselves from what clients log.

Trainerize's column is from their own website, checked 27 October 2026, with a link to the page for each row. Add-on means they charge extra for it. Not listed means their site doesn't mention it.

What Trainerize does well
It has been around a long time and it shows: a big exercise library, habits with streaks, check-in forms, booking from the Grow plan, and integrations with MyFitnessPal, Garmin, Fitbit and Withings. If programme delivery is all you need, it does that.
Progression that doesn't wait for you
Coachflow reads each client's first working set and moves the load: up when they hit the top of the rep range at target effort, down when they can't reach the bottom. Reps fading on later sets never triggers a weight cut. Deloads schedule themselves on cadence or get called early when fatigue signals stack up. On Trainerize, you set the next loads yourself.
What the extras add up to
On Trainerize's own pricing page, Stripe payments are $10 a month, the Business add-on with the CRM is $25, Advanced Nutrition with the meal planner and recipes is $20 to $45 depending on the plan, and your logo and colours on the app are $169 up front. In Coachflow, payments, leads, meal plans and recipes come with every plan, free one included, and so does your logo.
Who writes to your clients
Trainerize's FitMetrics add-on drafts replies to client messages and check-ins for you to review. Coachflow's AI summarises the check-in and flags who needs you, then leaves the reply to you. That reply is what your clients are paying for.
Moving across
Import your client list from a spreadsheet in a few clicks, and Founder coaches get hands-on help moving existing programmes across. Your clients get a new app and the same coach.
Questions coaches ask.
Can I migrate from Trainerize to Coachflow?
Yes. Import your client list from a spreadsheet in a few clicks, and Founder coaches get hands-on help moving existing programmes across.
Does Coachflow do everything Trainerize does?
It covers the core Trainerize workflow of programme delivery, exercise video, habits, check-ins and client messaging, and adds automatic progression, a lead CRM, native nutrition with recipes and meal plans, a community, courses and payments into your own Stripe, without add-ons.
Is Coachflow cheaper than Trainerize?
Coachflow has a free plan with no time limit, and its paid plans include payments, the CRM, recipes and meal plans. Trainerize's own pricing page lists those as add-ons on top of the plan, so the difference is usually bigger than the plan prices suggest. Trainerize prices in US dollars; Coachflow in pounds.
Does Coachflow have a nutrition tracker like Trainerize?
Yes, and it's part of every plan. A UK-first food database with barcode scanning, calculated macro targets, calorie cycling, in-app food logging with daily rings, a recipe builder and generated meal plans with shopping lists.
Does Coachflow's AI write messages to my clients?
No. It summarises check-ins, spots trends and flags who needs you. The reply comes from you.
